   | Musical backgroundMy piano lessons started when I was five years old. In 1974 I started to play in a brass band. That took me in Turku to study French Horn until 1988. I am also a self-taught Guitar player. The vocal career started truely in 2010.Choral yearsSekakuoro Kulkuset took singers for audition in August 2010. They let me in and also to participate in the Finnish song competition "Suomen paras kuoro" on television in December 2010. The following year Ensemble Vivere asked me to join them. After that I have been encouraged to participate also other choral productions in Turku.One of the brightest highlight on my musical career was the 4th Krakow Advent & Christmas Choir Festival in December 2013. Ensemble Vivere was competing in the Chamber Choir category using my compositions and was victorious. Composing, arranging and writing lyricsMy first compositions are from 70'ies. I have studied music theory but not particularily composing or arranging. So, I am purely a self-taught song-writer.page updated 8-Sep-2014 |
